Powering Your Smartphone or Tablet When You Are Running Low on Battery

There are not many of us with a smartphone who doesn’t get to some point in the day hunting around for a plug socket or to see who has the same phone so that we can borrow their charger. Smartphones whether they be an iPhone, Android or something else, can struggle with battery life, they are useful tools for both work and pleasure. Some say the answer is to use it less but that kind of defeats the purpose.  And it is not just the smartphone, what about if you have a tablet too.

Now in my job I can be out and about one day after the next without a desk of my own. I had these little power packs that have enough power to recharge your phone, but only once, so when I get home I now have that to charge up.

So I got a bigger power pack, it has two USB sockets so I can charge two devices at once, I can also use it to charge my camera batteries too. I also don’t need to charge it everyday. Depending on how I use it I may only need to charge it once a week. But I should be able to charge my iPhone at least four times before needing to charge the power pack.

The one I have is this one the RAVPower 16750 mAh power bank portable phone charger,  although it will charge pretty much anything USB. including my GoPro
