Embed a YouTube Video into a PowerPoint Presentation

Switching from PowerPoint to a browser in the middle of you presentation to show a YouTube can be messy and time consuming. So wouldn’t it be better if you could just embed the YouTube video into your PowerPoint presentation? It also saves time not having to load up your clips in advance.

If you’re using the Windows versions of PowerPoint, and there is an Internet connection, then this is possible. Unfortunately this does not work on any of the Mac versions including 2016.

You should be able to embed other online video but it works best with YouTube. I tried it with Vimeo and another media server called MediaCore and it didn’t like it.

Anyway, here is a video to show you how to do this.
